DOG BED FILLING CARE

Our Dog Beds are very special, but it`s washing and handling is actually quite similar to handling a Merino jumper... Your dog bed filling consists of 85% Wool and 15% PLA, in this case both naturally washable.

Prepare your filling:

1.   Make sure you separate the dog bed cover from the filling. Open the linen filling cover and gently take out all the four different layers of wool and felt, one by one. 
2.   Depending on the size of your washing machine, wash them in 2 or 3 separate portions by gently putting each portion into a pillow cover of yours or back into the linen cover.
3.   Close the zipper and wash as follows.
  
How to wash:
  • wash on hand-wash or wool cycle only! 
  • low temperature (cold or max. 30°)
  • no spin!
  • no tumble dryer!
  • use mild detergent (for wool & silk)
  • no use of softener!

How to dry:

  • after washing, lay all layers down flat, onto a towel for drying
  • do not hang them and do not lay them onto a heating radiator 
  • (empty) linen cover can be dried hanging

Repeat this with all the layers / your decided layers portions until all layers have been washed and dried.

How to put your filling back together:

Once all wool mattress layers are dry, assemble them back together. First take your linen slip cover, zipper facing upwards and lay in the different layers as follows:

    (A) make sure to first lay a wool layer into your linen cover (which will be the top of the bed in use)
    (B) then a felt layer
    (C) then a wool layer
    (D) finally a felt layer (which will be the bottom of the filling in use)

    Close the zipper of the linen cover and assemble the filling back into your dog bed cover. Make sure that the zipper is facing upwards, so both / all zippers are always on the bottom when you turned the dog bed.
